People Whose Worldview Is The Love Of Money.
I am going to use as an illustration example of a story called the A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. This is a well-known Christmas story about a man Ebenezer Scrooge whom most people who did not know him thought him to be a very harsh and cruel man. Only to find out three spirits that showed him his pass, present, and his future. Because of the mistakes that he made in his younger days and the way that the world is and how Ebenezer himself did not know at the time that he himself was part of what made the world a cruel place. He had come to develop their worldview or philosophy about money. This worldview made him believe that if he did not worship money he was afraid that he will go broke and died. And this was all because of his worldview and because his wrong philosophies, he heard the people that he loved the most. Wrong philosophies and worldviews can make you destroy your life especially if you go by a world that you yourself made up. A Christmas Carol written by Charles Dickens’s it is a great story that show us all that some of us have very bad internal beliefs and because they have become our philosophies and worldviews, we don’t know how many people that we hurt in our own families. Where just a little love, and kindness and mercy to was your fellow man will solve the problem that Ebenezer Scrooge lived with most of his life. There are many people in this world who lived like the man in that story.
Acts 20:35 (KJV 1900)
35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Always remember this, there are many different worldviews that people have about different things. A biblical worldview is the only view is the only philosophy that comes from the word of God. That is the only philosophy and the only worldview that will make life on planet Earth worth living. I caution you live by any other view than a biblical one you will surely regret it. Unlike the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, you only get one chance in your life and that chance that you have is your choice because God has given us all free will to choose between life and death and to choose him or to reject him. When Jesus decided to die in your place in in my place, he decided to take your sentence of which many Christians do not understand what he did. The God (Jesus Christ) who left heaven to save sinners from their own sentence. In his shed blood on the cross where he suffered humility, pain, loneliness and he felt what it feels like to be without God, and to be condemned to death itself.
That’s why today those who love the Lord Jesus who came from heaven to earth in a human body in order to take your place in my place in the place of all the world, so that none of us would be without God. As I have told you before on this website and that you never still forget that death is separation from God. Everyone in hell knows it. They know it because there is no God in hell. There is only pain and misery. Those in hell many of them chose by their actions and their worldviews and philosophies to reject God. And now that it has come true and they don’t have to reject him any longer because God has rejected them as well and that means they will have to spend the rest of eternity from God. Because when they had the chance, they rejected him. It is one of the saddest things in human history. As for a human being to go to a place where it wasn’t even created him to ever go there. How was not created for any human being made in the image of God. But people who were created by God rejected God in his gift of love, Jesus Christ. All of them in hell got what they wanted either chose it or they were deceived by the adversary and believing philosophies which came from the world itself.
When it came to Ebenezer Scrooge in the Christmas Carol story. Ebenezer had a fear of being broke and without money. Usually, money makes people feel like they have everything they need in the world and sometimes it caused them to reject God because money is more important. But they never come to realize that money is something you cannot eat, your money will not hug you, money does not care how you feel when you get sick, money does not love you, you may love money but money hates you. The fear that Ebenezer Scrooge had was a fear that he himself had made up.
Money is a good thing to have but it cannot solve all problems. It cannot replace any people. Today there’s a lot of young men who do not like their fathers. Because when the father and mother broke up, the father forgot that no amount of money would replace him with his son or his daughter. Because money cannot comfort you when you miss someone in your life that matters. And although the father may had good intentions and made sure his children were well taken care only to find out when the children grow up they dislike him. The father had a philosophy that as long as he took care his children with money, they will be all right. There are many families separated and do not understand this. Perhaps there philosophy and their worldview will money and people will change.
Recall the Bible story of the rich young ruler. (Matthew 19:16-22). The young man in the story thought that is money and the things of his possessions was more important and valuable than eternal life.
1 John 4:18 (KJV 1900)
18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
2 Corinthians 4:8–9 (KJV 1900)
8 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
The above verse tells you, that everything that is dear to us in this life comes from God. When I say everything I mean just that everything. There is nothing that you possess or keeps you alive that God did not give you.
I believe I don’t have to ask you how important your worldview and your philosophies are in life after reading what you just read. You now must ask yourself, what are you going to do about it?
