The True Gospel Message

There are many Christians who evangelize telling the unbeliever that God loves them. This is true, God does love them, but the believer does not understand that the unbeliever doesn’t know God. And because they do not know God, when you tell him that God loves them, that means nothing to them. Some will tell you they know. And although they tell you that they know, they may think that God will not send them the hell because God loves them. And the Christian in their zeal believes that they had done something when actually they have done nothing. All believers must tell the gospel truth. So, what is the gospel truth? What is the gospel of the kingdom that Jesus himself preached? Here’s a hint of what the gospel entails and this is the gospel that the Lord Jesus Christ preached to the masses. The key verse is this:

Matthew 4:17 (KJV 1900)

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

If one wanted to be a part of the kingdom, he must repent. Repentance was mandatory if fellowship with God was to be enjoyed.

Why is the gospel call good news? The gospel is not good news to those who don’t know why when you tell them that Jesus died on the cross and that’s supposed to be good news to people who don’t know anything about Jesus or why . And when you tell them that he saved them from their sins, these unbelievers have no idea what you’re talking about. Sinners sin because it is their nature to do such. Although this portion of what the gospel is involved a lot of evangelism, this webpage will tell you what the gospel is and why it is good news. The first thing that an unbeliever must know about the gospel, the gospel is good news to those who know that they are sinners and that all sinners will have their time in the lake of fire (separation from God for eternity). Incidentally, separation from God is what death truly is. When you die, that is your body dies, because everything on this earth is temporal, so is your death when you leave this world that to is temporal. And it’s only temporal if you are going to be with the Lord God. But if you die from this temporal world and your sins have not been forgiven by God, then you will be going to hell. Let us remember that God is holy and everyone here on earth is sinful. There are no good people worthy of going to heaven. That must bring you to ask a question and I would imagine that question is how anyone can get into heaven if everyone is no good and not worthy. I am glad that you asked that question.

Ephesians 2:8–10 (KJV 1900)

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

First of all, it is the grace that God gives all people no matter who they are. Grace is unmerited on earned favor. Faith is the belief that you must believe what God says. The gospel in itself is how God showed his love to the whole world by sending his only son to pay for the sins of all mankind. Note that it is a gift from God, a gift of love. Which means no matter what you do that is good as people say, you cannot earn salvation by your good works. Because it is not of any works of you or I, is basically the grace of God and the faith that we have to believe that Jesus paid for our sins and if he paid for our sins, then we have no sin if we meet the criteria. So what is the criteria? You must repent which is number one. And why should you repent? You should repent because God is holy and because God is holy God cannot live with sinful man. So if God is going to forgive you of your sins then you have to be willing to turn away from sin and obey the word of God. In that way God will take away all the sins that you have ever committed in your life past, present and future sins. Next why is that good news? It is good news because you know that when you take your last breath, the Bible says you will be with the Lord but if your sins are not forgiven and you die with sin still in your life, when you take your last breath, you will be in hell. You will find out that sin is so much a part of your life, that you will never stop sinning 100%. But your heart must be against committing sin such as the same sin that you have committed all your life. You must repent and then you can have a relationship with the God that created you. This is called good news. It is good news because if you go to hell, that is where you will remain for eternity (forever). You may be wondering why if you go to hell, why must you stay forever?

Luke 20:38 (KJV 1900)

38 For he is not a God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him.

If God is not the God of the dead, how is it that when some people die they go to heaven and when other people die, they go to hell? The answer to this baffling question is there are two types of death. One death is a physical death of one’s body. This is called a temporal death. Like everything in this world, when you die that is temporal. But the temporal death doesn’t mean you are dead. It just means that you have left this earth and your body. Because you are a spiritual being inside of a body. And whether you believe it or not spirits never die. Now if you die spiritually that means you are dead forever because God is not the God of the dead. And as I have said before separation from God is called spiritual death but this is the death that sends you to hell forever.

Revelation 2:11 (KJV 1900)

11 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.

As you can see in this scripture from the book of Revelation. There are two deaths. A first death and a second one. The first death is temporal, and the second one is permanent and spiritual. This is why its good news to know that because of your faith in what Jesus did at the cross and because you have turned from your sins and repented. You should have no worries about ever dying again. And that is good news. To you whom understood what I just said.

Repentance

Repentance is described as a personal decision to turn away from sin and towards God, involving a change of mind about sin and one’s relationship with God. It encompasses three key components: intellect, emotions, and will.

To get into heaven you first must repent from sin’s that you are committing every day. It is God’s will that no one should perish in hell but people choose to go to hell because they have no idea about what life is or death. This is why Jesus started his ministry with and I quote “repent because the kingdom of heaven is at hand”. Why must you repent? This is a very simple question to answer. Jesus sacrificed his life to pay for the sins of all mankind. If you were going continue to sin even after Jesus have forgiven you your sins, then what good does that do? Let me give you an example of what I mean. Suppose somebody smacks you in your face. And then immediately they ask you to forgive them rather than retaliate against them. Although you believe you should retaliate and make them pay for smacking you in the face, instead you decide to forgive them. If they smack you in your face again and then again, you would be less likely to forgive them at all. And you would probably make them pay for every time they smack you. This is why if you come and call upon the name of Jesus to save you from your sins, then you must repent. The gospel message is that Jesus died for you and all other sinners in the world and although you have sin great sins against a holy God, God says if you sincerely repent and follow his son Jesus, on your judgment day you will not be judged for the sins you have committed because God would have forgiven you for every one of your sins past, present and future sins as well. And that would be good news because no one wants to spend eternity in hell. And if you have read the page on hell, you know exactly why the gospel is good news. Not only did Jesus laid down his life for all the sins of the world Jesus is the Lord and as the Lord he must be obeyed. The holy Bible and the Holy Spirit (the spirit of God). Would tell you what pleases God and what does not please God. Christianity itself is not a religion where you practice doing things so that you will be saved or please the God that you serve.

1 Corinthians 15:1–4 (KJV 1900)

1 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; 4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Christianity however is based upon faith in what the Lord Jesus did on the crossed when he died by shedding his blood on the cross.

Although you are saved by your faith in what Jesus did at the cross and it is God’s grace (unmerited favor) by also you are saved but faith is an action word. If you do have faith in what Christ is done at the cross, you will actively obey his words. Meaning you will due to works that he has called you to do.

James 2:26 (KJV 1900)

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without work’s is dead also.

Remember

Psalm 19:7 (KJV 1900)

7 The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul: The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.
