Something You Should Know Now

When you first come to know and have a relationship with the Lord God, the enemy, called the devil has the power to deceive you into thinking that you are no more than a fool for believing in God. To keep the devil from deceiving you and causing you to lose what you have gained by your belief in the Lord Jesus Christ, you must study your Bible. Studying your Bible is the only way to keep the devil from deceiving you. This will always be the case. As long as you remain a believing Christian, the adversary of mankind (call the devil) will always be trying to deceive you and steal your salvation from you. If there are words or biblical phrases on this page or others, they will be explained on another page. This is very important to remember.

Matthew 13:18–21 (KJV 1900)

18 Hear ye therefore the parable of the sower. 19 When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. 20 But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; 21 Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.

Please understand this truth. Most people come to the Lord God and become Christians so that they will not go to hell. Not going to hell is a great important benefit to being a Christian. I will not take that from any Christian but you need to know that there is a greater reason than that and that reason is a personal intimate relationship with God. If Jesus had not gave his life on the cross as a sacrifice for all the sins of man all mankind will be separated from God for eternity. And if I did not tell you what death really is, death is being separated from God eternally. That is the definition of death. All the people who are in hell right now they know this better than anybody. God is not the God of the dead (the people in hell). God is the God of people who have eternal life. 

And hell is a horrible place because God is not there. Everything on earth that you take for granted such as air to breathe, walking, talking , smiling ,enjoying your loved ones and everything else that you enjoy in life. All those are gone in hell. In hell there is nothing but pain and misery for eternity. The good thing about going to hell is that, it’s your choice whether you go there or not.

Romans 10:9 (KJV 1900)

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

The key part of this verse, is to believe in your heart. There are many people who know that God exist but they do not believe that Jesus gave his life and took it up again so that all of mankind would not face judgment at the end of their lives on earth.

Romans 10:10 (KJV 1900)

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

As you can see by the words of the Scripture, you must believe in your heart and you must also speak from your heart as well. And what you believe and speak it’s the Scripture that corresponds with Romans 10:9. These will be the words you will speak when you first believe.

To be called a new believer means is that you have faith in a living God (Jesus Christ the Lord). As a new believer, you must be born again. The phrase born-again is a spiritual phrase which you will learn on the webpage physical versus spiritual. It is on that page you will get an understanding of what it is to be born again.

Studying the Bible and Who is God

The holy Bible is the words of God. Many people say that God did not write the words in the Bible with his very hand and you would be right he didn’t write it with his hand but he did dictate what will be written and what would not be written. Let me give you an example. If I wrote a book of which I dictated to you the words that I wanted written, you wrote the words on paper what came out of my mouth, I will be the author of the book, not you. Even though I didn’t put the words on paper, I told you what to write on paper and that makes is still my words. The Bible tells the history of the whole world (all of mankind’s existence on this earth from the beginning to the end). The words in the Bible had to have come from God because only God knows the beginning (time) from the ending. And that is because God created the beginning of time, and he also created the end of time. Don’t ask me to explain that to you because all I will tell you that God is an awesome God of which we cannot fathom his power. Nor can we imagine his power. I’ll just say this, there is absolutely nothing that’s impossible for God to do. God can move in all time periods on this earth at the same time. God created you and me and everyone on this earth for a purpose. He did not create you to just walk around here living, working to get old and then die. That is not why God created anyone. That is what people do with their lives. People are self-centered, all about themselves. They get in the habit of doing the things they have done each and every day and because life is nothing more than a journey of habits, people can tell one day from the other and before you know it 10 years have gone by. And as you get older, they go by even faster. So, by the time you are ready to retire, you have either worked your whole life for everything you have, or you have worked your whole life, and you have very little because of bad money management, health problems or just everyday life problems. One more note, and that is why we die? We die because we all have sin. The sin that we have is inside our bodies. And we pass it on from generation to generation. Dying may sound like a very morbid and bad thing to most everyone, but God could not allow us to live in our present sinful condition. If God was to let us live in the condition that we are now, eventually we all would destroy one another because of our sinful nature. So what God did is he sent his son and took our sins upon himself and so now when we die, if we have believed in Jesus and live the life of righteousness because of Jesus, when we die we lose nothing but a sinful body.

Genesis 1:27 (KJV 1900)

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Genesis 1:26 (KJV 1900)

26 And God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

So what does it mean to be made in the image and the likeness of God? First of all, we look like God. But because we are made in that likeness of God, we will never die. Because God cannot die. Now as we are still reading this you probably say that’s not true. Well, let’s look at it that way you do. You live life on earth doing anything you wanted to people, good things and bad things. You may have even killed some parents of little children while they were watching. Maybe you told lies all your life, so many so that people believed you were someone you never were. Maybe you got married and the only reason you got married so that you can use the person you married, and you never cared anything about them. Or maybe you scammed people which are lies and deception just so you can get their money, and you got away with it all your life and lived in luxury and now you have come to the end of your life. Or maybe the thing that you did for people who were good and people who thought you were a good person. You were a person who never drank, cursed, had sex out of marriage or ever hurt anyone. But maybe you told one lie, or you stole some candy when you were a child, maybe you said a curse word once when somebody hit your car, and you use God’s name (God D….m).

 Do you believe you are just going to die and all those things are going to go away that you have done to people and people have done to you, nope. God is a God who will hold you responsible for everything you have done in your life. Please don’t take what I say to frighten you; this is something to warn you and now you can do something about it. Because if you go to God with it whatever you have already done, God will forgive you because God he is the kind of God who forgives because he loves us regardless of what we have done.

Many people in the world think they are good people because they judge themselves by what other people do. But you need to hear from the Scriptures what God thinks of people on this earth.

Romans 3:12 (KJV 1900)

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

The reason that God feels this way about mankind is that mankind speaks good and bad out of his same mouth. Mankind does good and bad to the same people. Mankind lies and tells us the truth to the same people. The reason that God feel that no man is not good is because no man is good all the time such as God. The actual standard is not against somebody else, the standard is God. This means that you and I must be perfect with no sin. But that has already been accomplished through God’s son Jesus Christ. That’s why people go to hell because they reject the truth about Jesus and if you do the same, you will wind up the same. So as you can see, people don’t go to hell because they have sinned, because your sins were taken by Jesus on the cross and that is not all that happened at the cross. Because we have right standing with God in a spiritual relationship, we really and truly have everything we need but if you reject the son of God Jesus Christ, then you have nothing to look forward to but death.

24 He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father’s which sent me.

John 1:1–5 (KJV 1900)

1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 The same was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made by him; and without him was not anything made that was made. 4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

We cannot see God because he is a spiritual being. But God did something for the whole world that he would only do one time and only one time in eternity.

God came to earth in a body just like we have. Because he was not born from the earth and he came from heaven, he was born of a virgin woman who had never known a man. His father was in heaven from which he came from. They call them Emmanuelle which means God with us. Christ (God) came to earth in the human body. When Jesus was born to Mary, it was on the first Christmas day. When Jesus gave his life and took upon himself the sins of all mankind, that day was a good Friday. Now what I’m about to say next is what distinguishes Christianity and its belief beyond any religion on earth. Although Jesus died on good Friday, he arose from the dead never to die again. The belief in Christianity is the belief of the person Jesus Christ who lived thousands of years ago and he still lives today. There is no other religion or belief on earth where the person who started it is still living. This is why all those beliefs and religions are false. And because none of them took your sins away. Only Jesus death took our sins so that we can go to heaven have ever lasting life.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. 11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

John 1:12–13 (KJV 1900)

12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: 13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

If you believe in Jesus and God the father who sent him, he would then have the right to call God your father as Jesus did when he was on earth. Jesus is called the word.

John 1:14–17 (KJV 1900)

14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth. 15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me. 16 And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace. 17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.

When Moses came he gave a law to follow which came from God. It is called the 10 Commandments all the Mosaic law of which you will learn about on another webpage. But Jesus came and gave us grace and mercy. Mercy for the sins that we commit every day and grace to give us the power to do right.

Salvation is just salvaging people from destruction, lies failures and evil itself. Every person alive needs to have their lives salvaged from the judgment that comes after death on earth.

The Greek word for salvation is Soteria, it means deliverance, preservation, salvation. All other words it means to be saved.

You may ask what do we need to be saved from? We need to be saved from the penalties of sin. And this saving from sin is called justification. Everyone is justified by their belief in what Jesus has done at the cross, and that is he took our sins upon himself so that we would be justified when our judgment comes.

John 3:16–17 (KJV 1900)

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Justification means, declared righteous vindicated, or acquitted of something that you were guilty of (sin).

Galatians 2:16 (KJV 1900)

16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.

The above Scripture tells you that you cannot be justified by our own self-righteousness (your own good works). This is something you must understand. There are no good people in this world. To be good you would have to be like God. And never have committed not even one’s sin. And you all know no one on earth is like that. We need protection from the power of sin in this world. That protection is called sanctification. I will call sanctification myself as being holy.

Philippians 2:12–13 (KJV 1900)

12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. 13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV 1900)

17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

The Scripture above means that because you have been changed spiritually, that you should walk in the newness in your life by not living as you once did separate from Christ.

Matthew 1:23 (KJV 1900)

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

1 John 2:22 (KJV 1900)

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

Jesus was called the anointed one. There are many people who thought that Jesus was just another profit. Some people think he’s an angel but the truth of the matter is that Jesus Christ with God in the flesh. Yes that is correct. God visited us over 2000 years ago and he promised that he would return again. But the next time he returns, it will be to bring the people who believe in Jesus and those who are not sinners but those who sin no more. As for those people who do not believe that Jesus is God. Those people who love to commit sin, there will be a fiery grave called the lake of fire in which they will burn for eternity.
